Workspaces

A workspace is an account: its people, its brand, its connected accounts, its content, its credits and its subscription. Each workspace holds one brand, with its own Context, brand identity and presenter.

Agencies typically use one workspace per client. A founder usually has one. If you need a separate company with separate people, connections or billing, create another workspace.

Switch workspaces

Your account menu, at the bottom of the sidebar, lists your workspaces when you belong to two or more, with Switch workspace and Create workspace. With a single workspace, that part of the menu is hidden.

After signing in with several workspaces, Select workspace asks which one to open (“Pick where you want to work. You can switch at any time from the sidebar.”). Credits, people and connections are separate in each workspace.

Create a workspace

Anyone can create one, and the creator becomes its owner.

1. Open Create workspace from the account menu.
2. Enter a Workspace name (for example “Acme Studio”).
3. Optionally edit the Portal slug: lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 128 characters. It becomes part of your URL: /portal/<slug>/dashboard.
4. Press Create workspace. You land in onboarding for the new workspace.

If you only have one workspace, the account menu has no Create workspace entry. Go to https://app.svay.ai/create-workspace instead.

A new workspace starts with zero credits. See Credits and billing.

Rename a workspace

Owners only. Open Workspace Admin → Settings, edit Name and Slug, and press Save portal (“Workspace saved”).

Changing the slug changes every URL

All of the workspace’s addresses contain the slug, so bookmarks and saved links to the old one stop working. Change it only when you need to.

When you finish onboarding as an owner, a workspace that still has its generated name (such as “Alex’s Workspace”) is renamed to your company name. A name you chose is never overwritten.

What is not available yet

• Deleting a workspace. The Delete workspace button in Settings is not wired up yet. Contact support.
• A second brand in one workspace. One workspace is one brand.

Troubleshooting

“Workspace slug already taken” Choose another slug.

“Workspace slug must be 3-128 characters using lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.” Lengthen or simplify the slug.

I opened a workspace link and landed on Select workspace. You are not a member of that workspace, or it is not active. Ask an owner to invite you.
