Measure and engage
Engagement
Read and answer the comments on your Instagram posts, watch hashtags, and see your audience.
Engagement is where you see what people say back. It currently works with an Instagram professional account. Open it from the sidebar. Everyone can read it, and replying needs the editor or owner role.
If no account is connected, the page says Connect Instagram to see engagement and links to Integrations. If an account is connected but Svay cannot read it live, you see This connection has no live access: reconnect Instagram from Integrations. The Audience section can still show the last stored numbers.
Comments
Section titled “Comments”Comments from your recent posts. By default the list shows Needs a reply; switch to All to see everything.
- A line at the top counts the comments awaiting a reply against the total across your recent posts.
- Write in the box under a comment (Reply to @username) and press Reply. Svay posts it to Instagram and confirms with “Reply posted to Instagram”.
- A comment you have answered can be answered again with Reply again.
- Press the refresh button to load new comments. Comments are read live when you open the page and cached in your browser for about two minutes.
Svay cannot delete a reply once it is posted: delete it on Instagram if you need to.
Hashtags
Section titled “Hashtags”Watch the hashtags your audience is in. Svay pulls the best-performing public posts under each tag and uses them when it plans your content.
- Type a tag (the # is optional) and add it.
- Refresh a tag to pull new posts, or Stop watching it.
- Instagram limits you to 30 different hashtags every 7 days. When you hit it, the page tells you how long until a slot frees up.
Audience
Section titled “Audience”Audience demographics for your Instagram account. Instagram only shares them once the account has passed 100 followers.
Not available yet
Section titled “Not available yet”Mentions, tag monitoring and suggested replies are not part of Engagement. Other platforms’ comments are not shown here.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”I see Reply but it fails. Replying needs the editor or owner role. Viewers can read but not reply.
“Could not post the reply”. Instagram refused it. The message includes Instagram’s own reason. Reconnect the account if it says access has expired.
“All 30 hashtag lookups are in use for this week”. Remove a tag or wait for the countdown shown.
