Home and svay
The assistant behind every surface: where it lives, what it can do on each one, and how conversations are kept.
svay is the assistant you talk to throughout Svay. It is how you drive Creative Space, and it reads your Context on every turn. Home is svay in full-page form: your default landing place for ideas, scripts, campaign thinking and questions about your numbers.
Chatting with svay is free. Credits are only spent when svay starts something that costs them, such as a video or an image. See Credits and billing.
Open Home from the sidebar. An empty chat greets you with “Ideas, scripts, campaigns, numbers - in your voice.” and a box that cycles through suggestions such as “Draft a 30-second product explainer”.
Conversations
Section titled “Conversations”Home keeps every conversation, so you can come back to it.
- Open session history (in the chat header) lists your saved chats, newest first. It shows the latest 50, and the search box matches chat titles only.
- New chat starts a clean conversation.
- Rename a chat from the pencil beside its title, or from the history list.
- Delete a chat from the history list: press the bin and confirm with Yes. Deleting is final and cannot be undone.
A chat is titled from your first message until you rename it. A very long chat keeps its first message and drops its oldest later turns after 80 turns.
Slash shortcuts
Section titled “Slash shortcuts”Type / in the box for shortcuts: /ideas (find ideas), /research, /review (review my content) and /build (build in the studio). The + menu adjusts the Format, the Duration and whether Brand memory is used.
Market pulse
Section titled “Market pulse”The Market pulse button opens trends, pain points and recommended videos for your market. A label tells you whether the data is Live web or Offline · from memory. Choose a recommended video to save it as an idea. If you have never generated one, press Generate pulse.
Custom instructions
Section titled “Custom instructions”The Custom instructions button opens Chat instructions: standing rules for your Home replies, up to 4,000 characters. Three starter chips add a ready-made rule, such as a practical, concise tone. For rules that should apply to everything Svay writes, use Context → Custom instructions instead.
When svay learns a preference, it may ask Save this to memory? Choosing Save adds a line to your instructions.
What svay can do
Section titled “What svay can do”svay can take actions, not just write. On Home it can:
- Search the web for current information.
- Draft a post for a specific channel, and draft an email campaign.
- Review your recent content and read your workspace.
- Check this week’s plan and what is waiting in your Inbox.
- Save an idea for later.
- Hand off to Creative Space to build something, and point you to the right page with a one-tap button.
- Remember or forget a preference you state.
- Propose boosting a post or running an ad campaign. This only creates an item for you to approve in your Inbox; nothing is spent until you approve.
svay chains these together. Ask it to research a topic and draft three posts from what it finds, and it searches, reads and writes in sequence. Each action is shown as a quiet step (“Searched the web”, “Drafted the email”).
What changes by surface
Section titled “What changes by surface”What svay can do depends on where you are, so the same request can behave differently:

Home cannot plan a video or an image, and images cannot be generated inline from Home. Ask for them in the Video or Image studio, or tell svay to hand off and it opens the right place. If svay says it cannot do something you know it can, check which surface you are on.
Ask Svay, the window on every page
Section titled “Ask Svay, the window on every page”Ask Svay is a small window you can open on any page: press the Svay mark on the right edge, or press ⌘ K and choose Ask Svay…. It knows which page you are on, so you can ask about what you are looking at without explaining it. Drag the window anywhere and pull an edge to resize it.
An empty chat offers a few starter questions for the page, such as “What’s scheduled this week?” or “What needs my review?”. Ask in plain words. Svay answers first, from your own workspace where it can: the calendar, recent content, what is waiting for approval, post results, connected accounts and runs. A line above the answer shows what it checked, and a few follow-up questions appear under it.
Ask Svay is read-only. It can explain, look things up and show you where to go, but it cannot create, edit, send, schedule, approve or spend anything. When you ask for something to be made, such as a video or a post, it puts your own words into a brief and offers Open in Video studio (or Image or Text). Opening the studio starts nothing: you review the brief, and the studio asks before it produces anything.
Each answer has a Copy button. Open … buttons take you to the section an answer is about. The Updates tab beside Chat holds the work waiting for your review.
Your conversation here is private to you in this workspace. New chat clears it, and the window shows your most recent 40 exchanges. If Ask Svay has been turned off for your workspace, the window does not appear.
Attach files and talk
Section titled “Attach files and talk”Where the chat box has an attach button (the Video and Text studios and Context; not Home or the Image edit chat), you can add one file per message:

svay reads the attachment for this conversation only. Attaching is not the same as adding to Context. If Svay should remember it, add it under Context → All sources.
You can also dictate. Press the microphone button, speak, and press it again to stop. The transcript is added to the box for you to check before sending. Dictation needs a browser with microphone access, and recordings can be up to 25 MB.
Get better answers
Section titled “Get better answers”- Correct it in Context, not just in chat. Fixing it mid-chat corrects this answer. A correction fixes every future answer.
- Be specific about the angle, not the format. svay knows the formats.
- Say what you rejected and why. “Not that, too corporate” gives svay more to work with than regenerating silently.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”svay says it cannot do something. Its actions depend on the surface. Move to the right one (see the table above) and ask again.
svay got a fact about my business wrong. Add a correction.
My chat disappeared. Failed replies are not saved, deleted chats cannot be recovered, and the history list shows the latest 50.
I cannot attach a file on Home. Home has no attach button. It is available in the Video and Text studios and Context.
