Email marketing
Email overview
How email marketing works in Svay, what to set up before your first send, and how the pieces connect.
- Editors and owners
Svay runs email campaigns from the same workspace as your videos and posts, so emails are written from the same Context. Open Email in the sidebar. You need the editor or owner role.
Email has three parts:
| Part | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Overview | A snapshot of sending and a readiness checklist. |
| Audience | Your people: contacts, segments, forms and imported fields. |
| Campaigns | One-off campaigns, automations, saved templates, and reports. |
Get ready for your first send
Section titled “Get ready for your first send”The Overview page opens with Get ready for your first send, a checklist of four things:
- Enable sending.
- Verify your sender domain. Until you verify a custom domain, mail goes out from Svay’s own verified domain.
- Add a sendable audience. Import or collect contacts.
- Create, test, and send a campaign.
If you see Sending is disabled, an administrator has turned sending off for your workspace. Contact support.
Email health
Section titled “Email health”The Email health card checks six things so you find problems before your audience does:
- Workspace sending
- Sender domain
- MAIL FROM alignment
- Reply handling
- Compliance footer. Your emails must show a physical mailing address and an unsubscribe option.
- Audience protection. Unsubscribed and undeliverable contacts are excluded automatically.
Below it, Workspace performance shows what you sent this month with your average open and click rates and active automations, plus an Engagement baseline, a Best send-time starting point and a Deliverability trend of bounces, unsubscribes and complaints. Audience hygiene counts duplicate groups, missing names and contacts that are not sendable, with a Review audience button.
What Svay handles for you
Section titled “What Svay handles for you”- Unsubscribes. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and mail clients that support one-click unsubscribe get it too. Anyone who unsubscribes is excluded from future sends automatically.
- Bounces and complaints. Hard-bounced addresses are marked Cleaned and never mailed again.
- Throttling. Svay spreads a send out rather than firing it all at once.
- Tracking. Opens are measured with a tracking pixel and clicks through tracked links.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Email sends do not use credits. Each workspace has a monthly email-send allowance (20,000 on Growth and Pro; Enterprise has no monthly limit), counted per recipient. When it is used up, sending pauses until it renews, and credits cannot extend it.
