Set up your brand
Presenters
Choose, create and manage the avatar and voice that front your videos.
- Editors and owners
A presenter is an avatar (the face on screen) and a voice. Your workspace has one default presenter, set under Context → Presenter, and every new video starts from it.
Choose a presenter
Section titled “Choose a presenter”Open Context → Presenter and press Choose avatar or Choose voice (Change once one is set). You can also change them for a single video while you set it up; that change applies only to that project. If none is chosen, the section reads Using the workspace default.
The pickers sort options into three groups:
| Group | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Yours | Avatars and voices you created. Only your workspace can see these. |
| Svay library | Presenters Svay provides to everyone. |
| Library | Stock options. |
Search by name. Voices that come with a sample show a play button: press it to hear the voice before you pick it.
Create an avatar from a photo
Section titled “Create an avatar from a photo”- In the avatar picker, press Upload photo.
- Choose a clear, front-facing portrait. It must be a PNG or JPEG, up to 20 MB.
- Give the avatar a name, for example “Sarah - studio”. The name pre-fills from the file name.
- Press Create avatar.
Svay trains an avatar from the photo. The picker waits up to 60 seconds for it. If training takes longer, it keeps going in the background and the avatar appears under Yours when it is ready: close the picker and open it again.
Clone a voice
Section titled “Clone a voice”- In the voice picker, press Clone a voice.
- Choose one or more audio samples: one to two minutes of clean speech, with no music or background noise. The files together can be up to 25 MB.
- Name the voice, for example “Sarah - narration”.
- Tick Confirm speaker consent: “I confirm the speaker has consented to their voice being cloned and used in videos for this client.”
- Press Clone voice.
Cloning is instant, and the quality follows the sample. The button stays disabled until you have added samples, a name and the consent tick.
What you cannot do
Section titled “What you cannot do”- Delete a presenter. There is no delete control for avatars or voices yet. If you created one by mistake, contact support.
- Build a digital twin from video footage, or a professional-grade voice clone from a long recording session. Avatars are made from a photo and voices from an audio sample.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Creating an avatar or cloning a voice does not use credits. In a video, when Svay generates the presenter for you, the video costs 20 credits for each second of presenter, and voice costs 75 credits for every 1,000 characters of script. See Create a video and Credits and billing.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“The photo must be a PNG or JPEG image.” Export the photo as PNG or JPEG and upload again.
“Voice samples must be audio files.” Upload audio files (or WebM audio).
“Voice cloning requires confirmation that the speaker has consented.” Tick the consent box.
“Voice samples together exceed 25 MB.” Use fewer or shorter samples.
My new avatar is not under Yours. Training can take longer than the picker waits. Wait a minute and reopen the picker.
An avatar or voice from another workspace is missing. Presenters you create belong to the workspace that made them and are never visible to others.
